As of December 2022 we are giving Newbury Soup Kitchen free bottled gas for the year to assist their mobile soup kitchen and fundraising.

1st Wash Common Scouts

Our present community support is now supplying bottled gas free of charge to 1st Wash Common Scouts and looking forward to following their future projects and continued efforts to fundraise for their new hut.

Update September 2020: Marsh Fuels have just renewed their association with the 1st Wash Common Scouts Group and look forward to working with them for another year

£40 Donation to Tourette’s Action

More than 300,000 people in the UK have Tourette's, including one schoolchild in 100. Tourettes Action works to make their life better by providing free, impartial information, and contact and support. Marsh Fuels recently supported a sponsored charity bike ride ridden by a boy suffering from Tourette's. Tom has reached over 800% of his target already and you can help him raise more below.

Organised by the Guild of St Martin the East Woodhay Fete runs every year. The fete has become an institution not only as the best known fete in the area, but also as a means to raise much-needed funds for the church and the village. This year due to CV-19 they had to come up with other ideas for the community spirit!

Ray Boxshall Orienteering Fun Day Kintbury

It will take place on Sunday 6th October 2019. Participants walk approximately 7 miles, solving clues along the route. It has two main aims, firstly to keep open the local footpaths in the surrounding area and secondly to raise funds for local charities.

Parent Organisation Project

We are supporting the Reading and West Berks Football League by making a donation to their 'Parent Organisation Project'. They are creating an App for the parents as a portal to keep them up to date with training, match and event schedules as well as other important information. The League are also creating booklet quarterly that will be sent out to all the parents giving them timetables for their children's activities.

New Life Special Care Babies

We’re proud to sponsor Tony Montana, Nick Dingwall, Lola Emetulu, Charlie Hill, Andrew Prickett, Matthew Morton on the 24 Tennis Marathon challenge in support of New Life Special Care Babies. The event will take place at David Lloyd Newbury from midday Saturday 11th to midday Sunday 12th May.

In the UK over 80,000 babies every year are born premature or require medical attention. New Life is dedicated to raising money for local special care baby units and was founded by Trevor Goodall in memory of his sons Joshua and Samuel.

We have donated 500 litres of home heating oil to the 'The Friends of Enborne Silent Auction and Auction of Promises Event. They are raising funds for new tablets/laptops for the Children at Enborne C of E Primary School. The event is to be held at the Craven Arms on Friday 26th April and about 100 people are expected to attend.

Marie Curie & Swimathon Foundations

Come and spot our staff member taking part in this rather entertaining show.

Our Annie has been at it again. She has been training hard for her 5km Swimathon in aid of the Marie Curie & Swimathon Foundations. So far Annie has raised a whopping £425 with Marsh Fuels donating £50 of that.

On Friday 27th Annie completed her swim in a fantastic time of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Chieveley Pre-School Charity Auction

We are supporting the Chieveley Pre-School Charity Auction by donating 500 litres of home heating oil. As a small charity, and a parent lead Pre-School, we searched for donations/promises that we auctioned off to raise money to buy an iPad. The Pre-School staff will be using the iPad to help accurately track a child’s progress through a learning journal. The staff can then use this information to help plan for the next steps in the child’s learning. The auction raised an incredible £1252.82, so a huge thank you to everyone that was involved!

Lesley Foden 'Around Britain'

We are supporting Lesley Foden on her 'Around Britain' row and have sponsored a leg of her adventure.
